How to Run a Cross-Team Learning Share

If your organisation has more than one team running experiments, answer this: can Team A see what Team B has tested and learned? Not 'they could ask' but can they actually look it up without a conversation? Monthly or quarterly. Sixty to ninety minutes. Each team gets fifteen to twenty minutes for two to three learnings plus discussion.

Running the Session

Checkpoint: When you ask each team to select their most transferable learnings, can they produce a list quickly? Or does this require someone to review all their experiments and reconstruct what was significant?

Checkpoint: For the presentation format item 'where else might this apply', can the presenting team name which other teams might benefit?

After the session, distribute the learnings.

Checkpoint: Where do the learnings from the last learning share live right now? Can someone who was not in the room find them?

Checkpoint: Can you state the three most important cross-team learnings from your last learning share?

What Good Looks Like

The question is whether the underlying knowledge is structured and shared in a way that makes the session a discussion about what to do with known findings, or whether the session is the only moment the findings are visible at all.
